This is the time to be making your move in Real Estate!
Whether you are a first time buyer or looking to move-up to that home that was out of your reach just a few years ago, this is the market to make a move. With today's low interest rates everyone has more buying power. We have many resources to help you along your way. Even if you have bought and sold real estate before it is always helpful to review so it is fresh in your mind.
- Be patient! In today's market it can take longer to complete a transaction.
- Start by reviewing Steps in a Residential Purchase. This will help you be familiar with the common steps from start to finish of purchasing a home. Use the glossary for any lingo or terms you are not familiar with.
- Next use our Home buying Checklist; to help you determine your needs and wants in a home. If you are moving up see if the Detailed House Hunting Check List is for you.
- Work with your Realtor (hope it is us) to have you pre-qualify for a loan. Your realtor will be able to recommend a lender that has a proven track record. You don't want a fly-by-night company that may not perform and even jeopardize your offer. Check that you have the Funds Needed to Purchase a Home. - You are now ready to start the search for properties that meet your criteria. There are many sites you can use on the internet. Our property search is linked directly the MLS and is up-to-date. We also have a special site for our clients that you can save homes to or reject other ones, this is sent to us and we can follow-up with the ones you are interested in. Read the Type of home sales.
- Your realtor will be able to check on the homes before visiting them to find out the current status, i.e. does the property have other offers in? How long has it been listed, type of sale, is it vacant, etc… Due to the current low inventory we are seeing multiple offers on most homes.
